Meet Our Director
Hafiz Afraz Khan, MBA ’23, serves as the Director of Muslim Life, providing chaplaincy services for the Berkeley community.
Before joining Berkeley Muslim Life, Afraz worked at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), leading legislative advocacy campaigns to build legal protections around immigration and free speech.
He has been serving the Bay Area Muslim community for the past five years providing pastoral care to incarcerated populations, facilitating weekly spiritual programming at Lighthouse Mosque and organizing aid for undocumented community members.
